Our founder Mike King is an avid board sport enthusiast who refuses to compromise on performance and ride quality in the pursuit of our mission. During his six years of obtaining bachelor's and master's degrees in mechanical engineering at ASU and Stanford, he commuted to and from campus by longboard, experimenting with many different setups to find the best possible commuter ride. After years of working on the power electronics and battery teams at Tesla and Zoox, Mike decided to use the knowledge he gained working in the EV industry to pursue his dream of creating the ultimate electric longboard. The Traveler Board is the brainchild and favorite ride of a man who owns a double-digit number of longboards and snowboards, so know that our boards are made to ride great by people who understand through experience what makes a great ride.
